These No Bake Blueberry Bars are flat-out delicious — and a favorite recent recipe creation. It’s part cheesecake-part mousse and all good and good for you.

Refrigerator desserts are fantastic when it’s hot outside. This No Bake Blueberry Bars can be presented as a more fancy barquette (aka rectangle) or a more down-home square. However you cut it, it’s creamy, deceitfully rich, and can be made ahead.

No Bake desserts are often made of non-dairy whipped topping made from hydrogenated vegetable oils or whipped cream, which tastes incredible but is very high in calories and fat.

These No Bake Blueberry Bars are made of high protein Neufchatel and 0% fat Icelandic skyr or yogurt. They’re indulgent, but it’s reworked to be as healthy as possible and still taste luxurious. The fun and fruity healthy blueberries make for a perfect combination.

Exercise builds confidence

Best Life Living Tip

Self-confidence has to do with your ability to do something successfully. For many, confidence doesn’t come naturally and some are more confident in areas than others.  Five years ago I would have been far more timid in kayaking by myself. Now, I am more confident in my abilities. I can move better in my body and it feels amazing.

Exercise can help us build confidence, but you have to have the confidence to exercise. Before my health gain (I prefer to consider health gain over weight loss) I was not confident with my physical abilities. I am more confident now and it has everything to do with slow and steady physical exercise.

When you work out, your brain releases endorphins, natural mood boosters, reducing stress and elevating our spirits. Simultaneously, conquering physical challenges fosters self-assurance and belief in yourself.

If you’re having trouble beginning an exercise plan or following through, you’re not alone. Whatever your age or fitness level—even if you haven’t exercised since grade school —there are steps you can take to make exercise less intimidating and painful and more fun and instinctive.

  • Ditch the All or Nothing Attitude. Slow and Steady is the Way to Go.
  • Be Kind to Yourself and Give Yourself Grace.
  • Have Realistic Expectations.

One step at a time, one day at a time, you can make your life better and build your confidence! You can do it!

Self Care Technique

Friendship is the key to a long life. There is evidence today that people with strong friendships and large social networks enjoy better physical and mental health as they age than those who don’t.

According to Psychology Today, women have higher expectations of intimacy and support with other women.  Female friendships can offer support, understanding, empowerment, and a sense of community that is unique and desperately needed in today’s world.

Female friendships give women an outlet to share their problems, thoughts, feelings, and triumphs.

According to the Women’s Brain Health Initiative, researchers suspect that women have a larger behavioral repertoire than fight or flight. In fact,  it seems that when the hormone oxytocin is released as part of the stress responses in a woman, it buffers the fight or flight response and encourages her to tend to her children and gather with other women instead.

You knew you and your BFF were good for each other, you just had no idea how much!

I love my intimate circle of dear friends. They are my chosen family and make my life so much better. Tend to your friends and friendships and they will tend to you. You can do it!

Ideas and Inspiration

A Korean American millionaire and businesswoman, Michelle Kang has offered US Women’s Rugby 4 million dollars, to help secure the gold medal in 2028.

According to Sports Illustrated, Kang owns The National Women’s Sports League team the Washington Spirit, the England Women’s Championship team London City Lionesses, and Olympique Lyonnais Feminin.

“As my head of performance says, women are not small men, so they should not be trained based upon the training manuals developed by men,” she told the New York Times. “I wanted a dedicated staff, focused only on women. When they get up in the morning, they only think about women athletes, not men and women.”

Research shows that girls and women who play sports have higher levels of confidence and self-esteem and lower levels of depression. Girls and women who play sports have a more positive body image and experience higher states of psychological well-being than girls and women who do not play sports.

There’s a lot of good to say about women’s sports. Grateful for Kang’s bold leadership and positive light.
